Overview

The 2010 Canadian Geomatics Conference and Exhibit will unite members of the geomatics community and public and private sector decision makers to discuss and showcase the critical role geomatics can play in bolstering Canada’s productivity, innovation, global competitiveness and overall socio-economic well-being. This interactive Conference will attract the best people in the national and international geomatics community to demonstrate how geomatics has the potential to pump even more benefits into the Canadian economy if it was leveraged more strategically to advance a wide range of public and private sector initiatives. The Conference will therefore offer public and private sector decision-makers with creative and innovative strategies and solutions that may be put into practice right away.

The Conference features an exhibit area, plenary sessions, tutorials and a sharply-focused educational conference program. Several networking and social events are confirmed – an Opening Ceremony, an evening Welcoming Reception in the Exhibit Hall, an evening reception and buffet dinner at the North West Geomatics Ltd’s Calgary facility, and the first annual Canadian Geomatics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

Putting Sponsors and Exhibitors in the Spotlight

The 2010 Canadian Geomatics Conference will put Sponsors and Exhibitors in the spotlight!

A part of the Conference program will focus exclusively on Sponsors and Exhibitors. By taking advantage of one of our exclusive, limited sponsorships or exhibit areas, you will be able to showcase your services, products and specialists throughout the afternoon and into the evening. You will also have the opportunity to demonstrate your products and services and highlight the value of your brand through 45-minute seminars to captive audiences. Sponsors and Exhibitors Day will also feature a walk about for VIPs, special guests and the media. Please note that access to the Exhibit Hall will be open to communities of interest between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm! Secure your exhibit space and reserve your presentation time slots now … opportunities are exclusive and limited.

Working with You to Maximize Your Exposure

The 2010 Canadian Geomatics Conference and Exhibit is promoted through a comprehensive multimedia program that will leverage the reach of the partner organizations (the Canadian Institute of Geomatics (CIG), the Geomatics Industry Association of Canada (GIAC), The GEOIDE Network and the Tecterra Ingenuity Centre based in Calgary) as well as our feature sponsoring organization - Natural Resources Canada’s GeoConnections program. Furthermore, the ISPRS Commission I concurrent program focusing on sensors and platforms will bring some added international profile and prestige to the event. Our interactive website – www.geoconf.ca – will reinforce the marketing and media strategy.

Exhibitor and Sponsorship Opportunities

Your organization is invited to showcase your people, services and products by becoming a valued sponsor of the 2010 Canadian Geomatics Conference, scheduled for June 15 and 18, in Calgary, Alberta. The Conference is designed to complement your networking, branding and promotional efforts in a setting that will attract participants (users and potential users) from various sectors of the Canadian economy. We will work with you to leverage outreach activities and seek to feature geomatics in action whenever possible. In addition to contributing to a more successful Conference, your sponsorship will help advance issues of importance to the geomatics community.

The following lists the variety of sponsorships available, in different price ranges. Consider co-sponsoring with your business partners. We are also open to other sponsorship ideas, and invite you to contact Daniel Tessier at 613.851.1256 or at dhtessier@giac.ca to discuss.
